Immigration Medical Exam / Adjustment of Status / Green Card / Form I-693
In order to apply for a green card, citizenship, or permanent residency, you will need to have an immigration medical examination, Form I-693. The purpose of the physical is to determine whether, in the interest of public health, it is safe for you to enter the United States. This physical exam must be performed by USCIS certified civil surgeons, who are specially trained in issues concerning immigration.
